Examinations - Hints and Tips
- Read all the questions carefully
- Start with an easy question
- Make sure that you understand the following words used in examination:
- State or give = a short answer
- Describe = give details of what happened
- Work out or calculate = show your working in a calculation
- Explain = give a reason why something happened
- Suggest = give your ideas about a problem and include your reasons
- Remember to add units after calculations
- Keep to a pace which will allow you to answer the whole paper and check it
- Answer ALL of the questions!
