  • Test your knowledge the next day to check what you have learned
  • Revise a topic more than once so that the information goes in

Examinations - Hints and Tips

  • Read all the questions carefully
  • Start with an easy question
  • Make sure that you understand the following words used in examination:
    • State or give = a short answer
    • Describe = give details of what happened
    • Work out or calculate = show your working in a calculation
    • Explain = give a reason why something happened
    • Suggest = give your ideas about a problem and include your reasons
  • Remember to add units after calculations
  • Keep to a pace which will allow you to answer the whole paper and check it
  • Answer ALL of the questions!
