SVC students called in to save pharmaceutical firm
Students in years 9-11 learnt how to save a pharmaceutical company £9m a year on Friday! With the help of consultants from Stroud International, 30 students worked together to increase output in the company from two batches a week to three. Using buckets of coloured water and ping-pong balls to represent the batches, the students demonstrated excellent logic and communication skills, and managed to complete a task normally designed for graduates.
The problem solving workshop was a great opportunity to see science being used in the real world. Thanks must go to Matt and Jack from Stroud International for taking the workshop. Congratulations to everyone involved.
